CENTCOM: 3 killed, 4 injured on merchant ship attacked by Houthis
United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the Houthis attacked the commercial ship M/V True Confidence with a ballistic missile at around 11:30 local time yesterday, killing 3 crew members and injuring 4 others.

"At approximately 11:30 a.m. on March 6, an anti-ship ballistic missile was fired at the Barbados-flagged, Liberian-owned bulk carrier M/V True Confidence, which was transiting the Gulf of Aden, a region of Yemen controlled by Iran-backed Houthi terrorists. The missile hit the ship and reportedly killed 3 members of the multinational crew, injured at least 4, 3 of them seriously, and caused significant damage to the ship. The crew abandoned the ship and coalition warships intervened and began assessing the situation," the statement said.

TWO UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES DESTROYED

CENTCOM also stated that 2 Houthi drones were destroyed around 19:14 local time and said, "At 19:14 on March 6, United States Central Command conducted a self-defense strike against 2 drones in a Houthi-controlled area in Yemen that posed an imminent threat to commercial vessels and US Navy ships in the area."
