Alper Gezeravci returned to Earth
Turkey's first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı's space mission, which began on January 19, was completed with his landing on Earth today.

Gezeravcı's space journey began with the successful launch of SpaceX's Dragon capsule from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on January 19. Gezeravcı conducted 13 scientific experiments during his time on the International Space Station (ISS). A farewell ceremony was held for Gezeravci and his crew on February 2. While the first planned date for the return was February 3, the team's departure from the ISS was postponed three times due to unfavorable weather conditions.

On Wednesday, February 7, the Dragon capsule carrying the crew left the ISS and landed in the ocean in Daytona Beach, Florida at 08.30 a.m. local time (around 16.30 p.m. PT).
