"The State of Qatar announces the success of its joint mediation efforts with the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United States between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the agreement on a humanitarian pause," Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Dr Majed Al Ansari said in a written statement released today.
Stating that the beginning of the pause will be announced within the next 24 hours, Qatar Foreign Affairs stated that the humanitarian pause will last for four days 'subject to extension'. It was also stated that the number of those released may increase in the later stages of the agreement.
