Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), shared a letter he received from children in Gaza on International Children's Day. "For the children of Gaza, we demand the same basic rights as for all children around the world: first and foremost the right to life, the right to security and peace, the right to food and medicine," the letter from the Gaza children read.
