Netanyahu made the following statements in his statement;
"Since this morning, the State of Israel has been at war. Our first goal is to clear the enemy forces that have infiltrated our territory and to restore security and tranquility to the attacked communities.
Our second goal is to make the enemy pay a heavy price in the Gaza Strip. The third goal is to reinforce other fronts so that no one accidentally joins this war.
We are at war now. In war, one must be sane. I call on all citizens of Israel to unite in order to achieve our greatest goal - victory in the war."
