Operation Aqsa Flood by Hamas, Israel declares 'state of war alert'
The military wing of Hamas announced that they launched Operation Aksa Flood against Israel and announced that they launched 5 thousand rockets during the night. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) declared a 'state of war alert' this morning after the rocket attack that continued throughout the night.

 

The IDF announced in a statement this morning that Hamas began firing rockets intensively from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, entering Israeli territory from a number of different points. "Civilians in the southern and central areas should remain near the shelters, and those in the area surrounding the Gaza Strip should remain inside the shelters. The Chief of the General Staff is currently assessing the situation and approving plans for the continuation of IDF activities."

Mohammed al-Dayf, commander of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that they had launched an operation called 'Aqsa Flood' and that they had launched 5,000 rockets and mortars in the first phase. In his video statement, Dayf emphasised that they will continue the attacks.
