Death toll rises to 13 in nightclub fire in Spain
The number of people who died in a nightclub fire in Murcia, Spain yesterday rose to 13. Spanish fire brigade reported that 16 people were missing.

At least 13 people died in a fire that broke out in a nightclub in the southern Spanish city of Murcia yesterday. Authorities announced that 3 of the dead were identified, but 16 people could not be reached. It was stated that the death toll could increase.

The fire first started in Fonda Milagros nightclub, known as La Fonda, and spread to two entertainment centres around it. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Murcia Mayor Jose Ballesta announced a 3-day mourning in the city.
