President Erdoğan signed the Global Zero Waste Goodwill Declaration in New York
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed the Global Zero Waste Declaration of Goodwill led by his wife Emine Erdoğan at the 78th UN General Assembly in New York. President Erdoğan said, "By signing the Zero Waste Goodwill Declaration, we have demonstrated our stance for a cleaner, greener and livable world."

EMİNE ERDOĞAN: ZERO WASTE HAS BECOME A GLOBAL MOVEMENT

In her speech at the signing ceremony, Emine Erdoğan emphasised that the project, which was initiated in Turkey in 2017, has now turned into a global movement. Stating that President Erdoğan's leadership is the most important factor in the success of the Zero Waste movement and the success of the Zero Waste movement today, Emine Erdoğan noted that Turkey, as the leader of the green revolution, has always given the necessary support to the Zero Waste movement.

"Today, when we opened the Zero Waste Declaration of Goodwill signed with UN Secretary-General Guterres last year for global signature, our President of the Republic of Turkey has again shown us his strongest support by signing the first document. I would like to thank him on behalf of all Zero Waste and environmental volunteers and wish that the movement will be beneficial for our common home, the Earth."
