Hurricane Hilary began to show its effect in the south of the US state of California. The California State Department of Transport (CALTRANS) announced that flooding occurred especially in and around the city of San Diego and that the activities of the teams continue.

In the statement made by the Governor of California, "Hurricane Hilary has reached Southern California. Governor Newsom met with affected communities and first responders leading rescue efforts. The Governor also increased the number of counties under a state of emergency declaration, ensuring more communities have access to the support, services and resources they need for response and recovery."

Governor Newsom, who declared a state of emergency (state of emergency) in the south of the state yesterday, included Mono County, east of San Francisco, in the state of emergency.

On the other hand, the US National Weather Service (NWS) called for not travelling unless necessary and to stay away from highways where there is a danger of collapse.
