The 22nd meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation was held on Monday.

The opening ceremony was attended by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko.

Sahiba Gafarova and Valentina Matviyenko shared their views on the activities of the deputies as part of the interparliamentary cooperation commission.

Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis Polad Bulbuloglu received the honorary badge of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation “For Merit in the Development of Parliamentarism”.

Then, the co-chairs of the commission - First Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis Ali Ahmadov and First Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia Andrey Yatskin - provided information on the issues on the agenda.

The participants of the meeting expressed their views and comments on the issues presented.

The 22nd meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Assembly of Russian Federation concluded with the discussion of the agenda.

The Azerbaijani and Russian members of the Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation, as well as representatives of relevant government authorities attended the meeting.
