11 people killed, six others injured in Pakistan explosion

At least 11 people were killed and six others injured reportedly in a powerful bomb explosion in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. The Deputy Commissioner of the Harnai district, Hazrat Wali Kakar has confirmed the casualties saying that a bomb targeted a vehicle on Friday carrying coal miners in the area.

According to the reports, the laborers were killed when a bomb planted on the road exploded in the Shahrag area of Harnai district. As per rescue officials, the condition of the many injured is stated to be critical.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the dead and injured were shifted to a local hospital. The coal mine workers were heading towards the coal mines when they were targeted by the suspected terrorists.

According to police, the bomb blast occurred near a vehicle transporting coal miners, resulting in multiple casualties. Soon after the incident, the law enforcement personnel and rescue workers arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area and shifted the dead and wounded victims to the hospital. As per initial reports, the vehicle was destroyed in the explosion.
