Stephen Doughty, UK Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, said the UK supports Brazil, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in their work to ensure a comprehensive and independent investigation into the tragedy as he responded to a question from Wendy Merton, member of the Conservative Party of the British parliament, regarding the assessment of the potential merits of an international investigation into the recent Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash.
“Our thoughts are with all those affected by this incident, including the family and friends of those who have died,” Doughty noted.
“My officials remain in close contact with officials in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan,” the British minister added.
