Integration work for new ammunition and systems into the Bayraktar Akıncı TİHA, developed within the scope of the Bayraktar Akıncı Project led by the Presidency of Defense Industries, continues. In this context, the integration of the Çakır Cruise missile continues. The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle carried out another test yesterday from the Akıncı Flight Training and Test Center in Tekirdağ's Çorlu district, with the Çakır Cruise Missile developed nationally by Roketsan. Bayraktar Akıncı, who took off with the Çakır missile, flew to Sinop for long-range shooting tests. The Çakır Cruise Missile, fired from an unmanned aerial vehicle from 100 km away in the Sinop firing range, hit the target on the Black Sea at a speed of 800 km/h.
LARGEST EXPORT AGREEMENT
President İlham Aliyev and Baykar Chairman of the Board of Directors Selçuk Bayraktar watched the first flight of Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which entered the Azerbaijani inventory, on February 9. The export and cooperation agreement signed with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2023 was the largest single export agreement made by the Turkish defense and aerospace industry in the history of the Republic.
SHOT WITH ASELFLIR-500
Within the scope of the test carried out on February 22, Bayraktar AKINCI successfully destroyed the Albatros İDA, which was sailing on the sea, using the ASELFLIR-500 Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Targeting System, developed nationally by Aselsan.
40 THOUSAND HOURS IN THE SKY
Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, developed nationally and uniquely by Baykar, which produced Turkey's first national unmanned aerial vehicles, left behind an important milestone in the history of Turkish aviation by successfully completing 40 thousand flight hours.
HE FLYED ACROSS 3 COUNTRIES
Bayraktar AKINCI, who holds the national aviation altitude record with 45 thousand 118 feet, flew through 3 countries and went to Baku in 2023. For this flight, TİHA took off from Tekirdağ-Çorlu and covered Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan from one end to the other. In addition, it successfully hit the targets in Izmir by taking off from Batman within the scope of the Ephesus Exercise in 2022. Baykar, which has carried out all its projects with its own resources since the beginning, has obtained 83 percent of its entire income from exports since the beginning of the UAV R&D process in 2003. According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) in 2021 and 2022, it became the export leader of the defense and aerospace industry. Baykar, which was announced as the export champion of the sector in 2023 by the Presidency of Defense Industries, achieved exports of 1.8 billion dollars last year. Obtaining more than 90 percent of its revenues from exports in recent years, Baykar alone made 1/3 of the exports in the defense and aerospace sector in 2023. Export agreements have been signed with 34 countries, 33 countries for Bayraktar TB2 SİHA, and 9 countries for Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA so far.
