ASO 12th Ambassadors Reception took place
Ankara Chamber of Industry's (ASO) 12th Embassies Reception, which brought together the Ankara Business World and representatives of foreign missions in Ankara, was held at the Ethnography Museum.

The reception hosted by ASO President Seyit Ardıç was attended by Mehmet Kemal Bozay, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the European Union (EU); Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology; Mansur Yavaş, Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB); Mustafa Varank, Chairman of the TBMM Committee on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology; attachés, deputies and bureaucrats and foreign mission representatives from different countries.

VARANK: THE WORLD IS GOING THROUGH A TURBULENCE

Speaking here, Varank stated that he was very happy to attend the reception and said, "We left behind an election that was almost a feast of democracy. Mr President successfully completed his 17th election with a participation of up to 90 percent. Diplomatic missions always write reports to their capitals. There are reports they write before the election, and there are reports they write after the election. We believe in this. The world is going through a turbulence. The way to overcome this turbulence is through cooperation. We believe that we can do good things in this period by increasing the interest of foreign investors in Turkey in terms of investment, production, employment and exports by giving importance to international co-operation. At every meeting, I asked the following question to international companies and investors, have you ever lost any money when you invested in Turkey? The answer they gave me was; 'We have always won from Turkey.' We will hopefully continue on our way with a win-win understanding."

BOZAY WE WANT TO SEE ALL COUNTRIES WITH US

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mehmet Kemal Bozay stated that Turkish industry is active in 5 continents and said, "I would like to make a call to the ambassadors here. We want to see all countries, all friends with us in what Turkey will do in the future 'Turkey Century'." Stating that the modernisation of the customs union is not a problem but a process that needs to be solved, Bozay said, "You can be sure that we are working very intensively on visa liberalisation in the new period. This was our priority in the negotiations. Our next contacts will go with the same priority."

YOZGATLIGIL: TURKEY HAS ACTED AS A PART OF THE SOLUTION

Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, stated that Turkey has made great progress in many fields in the last 20 years under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and said, "In this process, Turkey has preferred to act as a part of the solution rather than the problems in the face of difficulties. Adopting diplomacy and amicable settlement of problems as the most basic solution method, Turkey has never preferred to achieve unilateral gains in terms of international cooperation and has always encouraged a win-win situation. Under the leadership of our President, we are determined to grow Turkey's economy through investment, employment, production, export and current account surplus. In this framework, we will make every effort as the Ministry of Industry and Technology."
