The Japan-Turkey Business Forum, organised by the Japanese Foreign Trade Organisation, will take place today. Before the forum, which will be held with the participation of ministry officials, economic organisations and business executives of both countries, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar and Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yasutoshi Nishimura met. During the meeting, it was learnt that possible cooperation between Turkey and Japan in the field of energy was evaluated. A joint declaration was signed by the ministers regarding the launch of the Turkey-Japan Energy Forum, which is planned to be organised in order to improve cooperation in the field of energy. In this context, it is planned to develop cooperation with Japan under the main headings of 'Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Natural Gas and New Fuels Technologies'.
BAYRAKTAR 2024 IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR US
In his speech before the signature, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said, "Today we are here at a signing ceremony related to the beginning of the energy forum between Turkey and Japan. We have just made very detailed evaluations with the honourable minister. 2024 is the 100th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Turkey and Japan, especially in 2024. 2024 is very important for us in this respect. Therefore, we think that the Turkey-Japan Energy Forum is very important in this sense and will serve to improve bilateral cooperation between the two countries. In this sense, I wish this relationship to be auspicious. I would like to thank the minister for his visit."
