FIFA suspends president of Spanish Football Association
FIFA has suspended Spanish Football Federation President Luis Rubiales for 90 days for inappropriate behaviour towards Spain's Hermoso, who won the Women's World Cup 2023 final.

FIFA's disciplinary committee had announced that it had decided to investigate Rubiales' behaviour at the Women's World Cup final, which included kissing a player without her consent. FIFA announced today that Rubiales has been suspended for 90 days 'pending the outcome of the disciplinary investigation' against him.

FIFA GAVE 2 INSTRUCTIONS TO BOTH RUBIALES AND THE FEDERATION

"The FIFA Disciplinary Code (FDC) has today decided to provisionally suspend Luis Rubiales from all football-related activities at national and international level. This suspension, effective from today, is for an initial period of 90 days pending the disciplinary investigation opened against Luis Rubiales on Thursday 24 August."

FIFA has also instructed Rubiales to refrain from contacting or attempting to contact, by himself or through third parties, Jennifer Hermoso, a professional player of the Spanish national football team, or her close circle. The statement also instructed the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to refrain from contact with Jennifer Hermoso and her immediate environment.
