The U-19 Girls' National Volleyball Team faced the USA in the final of the 2023 FIVB World Under-19 Volleyball Championship organised jointly by Croatia and Hungary. In the match played in Osijek, Croatia, the national team won the first two sets 25-20 and 25-23 and took a 2-0 lead. The USA won the third set 22-25 and the fourth set 16-25 and took the match to the final set. USA played better in the last set and won the set 10-15, bringing the score to 3-2 in the match and became the champion. After this result, the U-19 Girls National Volleyball Team ranked 2nd in the World for the 2nd time in its history after 2007 and won the silver medal.
On the other hand, Begüm Kaçmaz, one of the national players, was selected as the Best Middle Player and Beren Yeşilırmak was selected as the Best Passer Cross and took part in the dream team of the tournament.
