Head of Athletics Federation dismissed in Somalia
The Somali Ministry of Youth and Sports announced that Khadijo Aden Dahir, the President of the Somali Athletics Federation, was dismissed for 'abuse of office and nepotism'. It was stated that Nasro Abukar Ali, who competed for Somalia in the 100 metres run at the 31st Summer World University Games in China, was not an athlete or runner.

The Somali Ministry of Youth and Sports said in a statement, "The ministry conducted an investigation into the participants of the recent games in China. The results revealed that Nasro Abukar Ali was not an athlete or runner. The President of the Somali Athletics Federation, Khadijo Aden Dahir, has committed acts of abuse of authority, nepotism and defaming the name of the nation in the international arena."
