Astana hosts 2nd meeting of Council of Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation

The 2nd Meeting of the Council of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation under the chairmanship of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the National Museum in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Friday.

The event was attended by the Ministers of Culture of the member countries of the organization, as well as representatives of government bodies from the Turkic states.

During the meeting, President of the Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova presented the strategic directions of the organization for the preservation, study, and promotion of Turkic cultural heritage on the international stage, in accordance with the directives of the Heads of Turkic States, reflected in the strategic documents “Turkic World Vision - 2040,” Astana act (“TURKTIME”), and others, as well as a comprehensive report on the Foundation's activities for 2024 was also presented.

As part of the meeting, a detailed presentation of the Foundation's Action Plans for 2025-2026 was also demonstrated to the participants of the meeting.

The 2nd meeting of the Council of the Foundation, chaired by the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, was attended by Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulbara Abdykalykova, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mustafa Kapucu, as well as representatives of government bodies from the Turkic states.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a Protocol was signed by the representatives of the member countries of the organization.

The outcomes of the meeting will be an important step in the development of cultural cooperation among Turkic countries, strengthening collaboration in the field of cultural heritage preservation, and providing a new impetus for international projects within the Turkic world.
